Conviction or belief, cast or Colour, Religious or Non - Religious have no slab here. Yet, the purity of Harmandir Sahib will touch your heart. Also, Is the distinct identity, glory and heritage of the Sikhs.

The Golden Temple is the most sacred Gurudwara for the Sikhs. Harmandir Sahib is its formal name. But due to its the gold-plated building, devotees lovingly describe to it as the Golden Temple.

Devotees - Golden Temple

It was Monday 12Noon, I am in Golden Temple. It was Somavati Mauni Amavasaya (Kumbh Shanan). Golden Temple was Chaka Chaka full of Devotees. My mom & dad stand in queue for more than 3hrs to seek blessing. Peace & calm point. I could listen & understand to each & every “Shabad reciting”.

But because it was a weekend trip, so have to visit Wagha Border & its parade as well.

So Me, my brother & Travel partner ran to visit Wagha Border.

That’s another beautiful & patriotist place. Wagha Border & that Songs of Patriotism.

We were late. Our car was running in wrong speed but safely.

We reached on time thankfully. Thanks to Dheer(Travel Partner).

I could sense an aura of celebration with patriotic songs played before the actual ceremony begins.

We Ran, Ran,& Ran.....

The size of stadium is limited so everyone can't get in. The seats are allocated on “first come first serve basis”.

Hahaha, Still Got front place to enjoy the parade.

Crowd - Wagha Attari Border

Crowds of around 10,000 gathered around us in the stadium seating on the Indian side of the Wagah border. To our right, our first views of Pakistan consisted of a more subdued crowd, some official looking people and a couple of tour groups.

Women were dancing, singing & enjoying Bollywood patriotic songs. Everyone was going crazy.

At around 4pm the real action kicked off and we prepared ourselves for the world’s most obscure border closing ceremony.

Handsome BSF Jawan host for the evening. Motivating , shouting.

I don’t know what to say, but still

“Kuch toh hai us Jagah mein, jo dil ko sukun deta h,

himmat deta h, Josh deta h,

Desh Bhakti Jagata h, Garv Mehsus krvata h,

Kuch toh hai us Jagah mein, jo dil ko sukun deta h,”.

This procession continues for 45 minutes., that Josh & loud shouts of Hindustan Zindabad. Something crazy.

I remember, even kids were going mad.

Parents were explaining their kids’ on importance of this place.

Wagha is a village located in Wagha zone of Lahore, Punjab & Pakistan.

Its full name is Wagha – Attari Border.

Beating Retreat Ceremony

The Wagah Border Ceremony, more popularly known as Beating Retreat Ceremony, was started in 1959. The purpose of "Wagah Border Ceremony" is to formally close the border for the night and take-off the National Flag of both nations. The Flag Lowering Ceremony is done & that comes to an end of ceremony.

That BSF handsome Man Became “The Star” of the evening. People were clicking selfies with him. That was crazy & funny.

After the amazing evening, We were very hungry. i could see lots of street Food, but Maggi, Popcorn & tea is best.

Then, we joined the mass exodus from the stadium and headed back to Amritsar.
